This project is a reimagining of the promotional movie posters for the movie The Death of Stalin. The payoff and variation posters are heavily inspired by Russian Constructivism and designs by the Stenberg brothers. Using Ben Day dots and monochromatic elements, I imitated analog design methods of the early 1900s used to make movie posters. To keep within the design style of Constructivism, I prioritized the colors black, red, and yellow.
For my typography I altered Bebas Neue to match Cyrillic typefaces of the early 1900s. I utilized the communist sickle and hammer to recreate the letter "O" and crossbar of the "F" in the main title.
